We arrived at Wake Up Byron on St. Patrick’s Day and were immediately welcomed by Wiep, Lisa and Judd, who were fully in theme behind reception 🍀💚 It honestly set the vibe right away. They were super enthusiastic and told us all about the activities going on, which made us feel instantly excited to be there. We ended up joining the beer pong night with Tom and Erin, which was so much fun and a really easy way to meet people. Seeing Erin in a full leprechaun outfit honestly made the whole night, it was such a fun detail that completed the vibe 🍻🍀 The hostel itself is very social, there’s always something going on and it’s super easy to connect with others. The location is perfect too, really close to the beach and there’s a shuttle to the town which makes everything super convenient. Overall such a fun and welcoming place to stay, definitely recommend!

Feels more like a resort than a hostel, spacious rooms and very social people around. The staff is very friendly and all the facilities are really clean. Pool, sauna and ice bath are great. Negatives: you cannot have your own drinks at the pool, it's 30 min from the city.

I had a great stay! I booked a shared room for two nights and it was very spacious. The beds were well spaced, so it felt really comfortable. There’s a free shuttle bus, making it super easy to get to town, and the beach is only a five-minute walk away. The staff were incredibly kind. I’d definitely stay here again!

Had an incredible stay at Wake Up Byron! The place is awesome and has super nice amenities! I loved the sauna, cold plunge and pool! There are great activities to join in on, which makes it easy to meet others! And the staff are all fantastic! Special mention to Adzy and Pete. They both went above and beyond. I had a flat battery in my car and they gave it a charge for me. Such great dudes and awesome ambassadors for the positive and professional culture of Wake Up! Highly recommend this place!

I had an amazing stay at Wake Up Byron Bay — definitely the best hostel I’ve experienced in Australia so far! The facilities are fantastic: there’s a pool, sauna, and even a bar with snacks available by the pool, which makes it really easy to relax and enjoy your time there. There’s also a café just 50 meters away and a restaurant on-site, so food options are super convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with air conditioning, and the beds are really comfortable — perfect after a long day out. One of the highlights is the huge kitchen, which is great if you want to cook your own meals without feeling cramped. The overall vibe of the place is awesome, very social and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They also provide a shuttle service into town, which is really handy. The location is good — right in front of the beach, which is a huge plus — but keep in mind you’ll need to walk a bit if you’re heading back from town. Overall, a great place to stay if you’re visiting Byron Bay. I would definitely come back!

Fantastic hostel in a gorgeous area. Rooms were fantastic, very clean and modern, curtains on beds etc. The pool bar has cheap drinks at happy hour and the hostel also run a free shuttle into town throughout the evening. The staff were amazing too, especially Manouk at reception! Would highly recommend and am sure to be back

I had an amazing stay at Wake Up Hostel Byron Bay! The hostel has a great atmosphere, is very clean, and is the perfect place to meet other travelers. A special thank you to Manouk ,Jonathan, Anne, Michael, and Tom, who made my stay truly memorable. Their friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to help with anything made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They always went the extra mile and created such a positive vibe throughout the hostel. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Byron Bay! 🌴😊

I had an amazing stay at Wake Up! The rooms were always spotless, and the kitchen was incredible, one of the best I’ve seen in a hostel. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I’d especially like to thank Jonathan at the bar. He’s honestly the best of the best, the best bartender! He always created such a great atmosphere, was incredibly friendly, and made my journey even more enjoyable.

After 4 nights at Wake Up! Byron Bay, I can confidently say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The value for money is excellent, and the girls at the front desk were always kind, welcoming, and accommodating. I appreciated receiving a fresh towel each day, and I also enjoyed the activities on offer. I attended one of the yoga sessions, which was a great experience. Although the hostel isn’t located in the town centre, I actually preferred that. It’s right across from Belongil Beach, which is beautiful, less crowded, and, in my opinion, even nicer than Main Beach. Getting into town was never an issue thanks to the complimentary shuttle service that runs every hour and conveniently stops right at the bus station. The only thing I would have liked to see improved was the volume of the music around the pool area. It was a little loud around midday, and I would have enjoyed being able to read and journal there more comfortably. I also noticed a few other guests who seemed to be trying to do the same. The rooms were kept quite clean, and the floors were vacuumed and mopped daily, which I appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and would happily return on a future trip to Byron Bay.
